Above and Beyond Early Intervention Pty Ltd are registered NDIS Providers. You are able to use your NDIS plan with us to access speech pathology, occupational therapy, and/or psychology services.
The National Disability Insurance Agency began to roll out the government funded National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to support individuals with needs in the Hunter and Lake Macquarie regions in 2014-15. Individuals with needs that meet NDIS' criteria can apply for NDIS funding. Once approved for funded supports through NDIS, individuals can access therapeutic supports (such as speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, etc.) paid for in-full by NDIS (pending allocation of funds in plan and support needs deemed as necessary and appropriate to be funded under the scheme).
Eligibility to access the NDIS is separated into 2 age groups: Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) (<7 year olds) and Disability (≥7 year olds). For more information on eligibility criteria and how to apply go to "accessing the NDIS" on NDIS website.
If you would like to apply for your child to become a Participant of the NDIS, please:
Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) (<7;0 year olds):
Disability (≥7;0 year olds):
Additional information regarding local area coordination can be found on the NDIS website.
If you have any questions or are interested in applying for NDIS funding for ongoing speech pathology, occupational therapy, and/or psychology needs, please contact us as we can assist you with your application. You will require evidence (reports) of your child's disability or developmental support needs in order to be eligible to access the scheme, which ABEI can assist you with. ABEI can also help fill out/complete and submit the NDIS Access Request Form as needed.
